ACT 2: NEW STUDENT WELCOME NIGHT
This past Friday, Klesis had our second New Student Welcome Night where we welcomed new and old students for another exciting year back at Cal.
We kicked off the event with a quick game of trivia to warm everybody up. The welcome night also featured live music, short videos, a message given by Joe H. and a spoken word performed by our very own Klesis seniors Austin and Vina.
Three of our Klesis seniors, Aurora, Julia and Phil, also shared a bit about their experience at Cal and what used to be their life mantras. Each of them came into college with a completely different perspective on what their life's true purpose was. One of them wanted to just get good grades and have fun, while another's aim was to stand out from the crowd. While in college though, each of them learned that life was so much more than these very temporary things.
The panel tied directly into theme of the message which was time and how limited it is. Joe gave a message on the rich young fool and encouraged everyone to not wait until the end of college to discover the true purpose of life and to find a spiritual community where those questions can be answered.
To wrap up the night we loaded into cars and headed out to SF for a fun time at the mirror maze and 7D experience.
If you're looking to join a Christian fellowship at Cal or interested in exploring Christianity, join us at Klesis Weekly next Friday at 7 for the start of our new message series called Chasing.
