Tips for Incoming Cal Freshmen!

If you’re an incoming freshman to Cal, CONGRATS! We’re so happy for you and hope you’re excited for this new chapter of life. We know you may also have different questions and concerns about what it’s like to be a Berkeley student. If that’s you—we’re here to help. Whether you’re wondering where to find good boba or how to arrange your schedule first semester, we have a number of resources for the C/O 2024 that we’d love to share with you.

  1. BUMP Mentorship 💻

BUMP stands for Berkeley Undergraduate Mentorship Program and is a resource offered by several Klesis upperclassmen (Klesis is a Christian group at Berkeley). If you’d like to get advice from a current Berkeley student, sign up for BUMP mentorship! You can set up online 1-1’s or email them to connect, ask specific questions, or hear how their freshman year went. Read more about our mentors and sign up here 😄BUMP will also be continuing to host informational webinars for incoming freshmen, so stay posted for these.

  2. Top 3 @ Cal 🐻

Curious where the best Boba shops are? Wondering what the best workout spots are? Check out this mini video series made by some of our upperclassmen.

  3. Ask Me Anything ✉️

Perhaps you have a one-off question about Cal or you want some insight from a current student or alumni. Feel free to submit any question about Berkeley and a student or alumni will get back to you directly!

Stay tuned for more! Once again, congrats, and welcome to Cal!
