Transformed- Senior Talk Recap
Before the last week of classes hit, Klesis Seniors invited their friends and family to a three part webinar series titled Transformed. Though physically apart, they worked hard together as a class in over 250+ man hours to approach this topic from three angles. They first addressed the transformed world, and how to make sense of this global pandemic and the iconoclastic realities it brought to light. Theo and Cynthia gave a sturdy framework to think through upheaval and uncertainty, and posited that perhaps the innate desire for stability and hope hints at something greater than what this world can offer. The second night featured stories of transformed pursuit from Janet, Kevin, Taige, and Lillian, each of whom presented how they tackled the question of what leads to true happiness and satisfaction. On the final night, seniors Tim, Cindy, Stone, and Jackie presented personal stories of how Jesus transformed identities and lives’ trajectories in unexpected and incredible ways. If you know a Klesis senior and couldn’t attend these talks, I highly recommend asking directly for a recap, as this one cannot do it justice, and any opportunity to recount and catch up is not one to be missed! If you don’t know a Klesis senior and couldn’t attend these talks, I still highly recommend asking directly for a recap, from anyone you know in Klesis! As this semester winds to a close and we are again presented with a series of “lasts” (last week of classes, last dead week, last final) perhaps we’re invited to contemplate the importance of something that isn’t just last, but lasts forever.
