Bible Study 10/14

We had bible study in Alameda this week as a homegroup! This week, Isaiah taught us about the picture of heaven, which Jesus often compared to a banquet-- a luxurious, week-long feast. One example was from Luke 14, where a man gave a great banquet and invited many people, but the ones who were invited missed out because they were preoccupied with land and family. Ironically, it was the poor and needy who were ultimately invited to the banquet. Often times, our hearts are so filled with other things that we forget our need for heaven.

Afterwords, we baked a bunch of dessert and played games with each other! Careful not to shake the table!
