This past weekend, Kle2 headed to Klesis House to review the final section of Course 201's "Holiness of God." We practiced through the section titled "Pitfalls," which really helped to clarify the application of the material. We learned the "symptoms" of not understanding the holiness of God, which includes lack of joy in Christian life and desire for people-please and image management. Where the rubber meets the road, so to speak!

We then piled into 5 cars and zoomed off for a sweet trip to Sierra Lodge, where we stayed up quite late eating roasted-on-a-stick sausages, veggies, pizza (??), & smores as well as singing campfire songs.

In the clear of the bright Saturday morning, we had a hearty breakfast, then drove to a short hiking trail north of Lake Tahoe. The view was stunning! Jon quizzed everyone on the patterns of the lakes, to which nobody had a response (and neither did he).

We then drove over to Lake Tahoe's beach and within seconds (okay, maybe minutes) the volleyball net was up and we were bumping. Two rounds of staff vs. students came up in a 1-1 tie... tiebreaker to be played at our next outdoors-y trip.

The trip was rounded out rather nicely with an In-N-Out run. Two cars' worth of Kle2'ers were spotted in the parking lot having some sort of singing/rap battle... which was later found to be a "hymn-off" of sorts. Let's just say that I wouldn't have thought singing "Oh Jesus I Have Promised" to the tune of High School Musical or a sick base beat.
