Love in One Word

Back before Spring Break, continuing in our theme of Christian community, we had a Bible study on 1 Corinthians 13 -- the famous passage about love that decorates the homes of many married couples! We didn't talk about romantic love though, instead we discussed how love is embodied in sacrifice, in popular movies like Disney's "Frozen", but also through the picture of Jesus sacrificing Himself on the cross for our sake. Later on, some of the staff shared about ways they loved others and overcame obstacles to loving people.

How would YOU define love in one word?

For dinner, some of the juniors plus Zsarynne prepared Filipino spaghetti. Complete with Filipino sausages and banana ketchup!

After Bible study, we headed out to Alameda to have some snacks and play games! We had a rowdy game of scattergories where we all tried to convince James that our awful alliterations deserved some points!
